We get lost imagining what it must be to travel thousands of miles and visit millions of flowers to create gold.

Our raw, unfiltered honey

We’re sold out for the season.

Our Process

Caring for the Hive

All year-round we care for the health of our bees by routinely checking on the health of the workers and the precious queen. During the warmer months, we maintain the hives and do biweekly checks. Opening the hive under 50°F disrupts the regulated temperature of the hive and puts the hive at risk for freezing.

Extracting the Honey

Once the worker bees have put wax cappings on the honey frame, we are ready to harvest! Our certified Real Texas Honey is taken from the hives and processed in our local workshop. The wax cappings are removed from the frame, allowing the honey to fall down into the “extractor” as it spins.

Jarring the Honey

After the extracted honey goes through a coarse filter to remove large debris such as wax pieces, we pour the product into 3oz, 12oz, 2lb, and 5lb. sanitized jars for you to enjoy.

Ranchito Bonito

Honey bees have a huge impact on our environment and their success as a healthy colony is a testament to maintaining and nurturing a strong community. We want to protect and enhance the lives of our bees in our North Texas community by creating and maintaining healthy hives that produce exquisite honey.

Our bees live at Ranchito Bonito, and soon you’ll be able to come learn more about these beautiful bees in person with hive tours and workshops.
